Country Pursuits Cambridge Clay Target Club

“A competition for both members and non members with valuable prizes for shooters of all abilities”

Please read the rules carefully and raise any queries before shooting.

Rules:

Dates

The competition will be shot over six consecutive months: October, November, December, January, February and March. The shoot dates will be the second Sunday of that month.

The Final

This will be held in April, date to be agreed when CPSA publish their fixtures to avoid clashes.

Scoring

The top four results for each shooter will determine the class finalists.

Classification

The CPSA classification at the start of the contest will apply throughout the Winter Series. Your CPSA classification in April will be used for the final. Non classified CPSA members will be given a grading by the club using the CPSA classification system. These are rules laid down by the CPSA for those occassions when a shooter takes part in his or her first registered shoot and therefore does not have a classification for that discipline. This grading is calculated on the shooter's first shoot and will be used throughout the series.

Format

On each of the six 100 bird Sportrap days, the open prize system will continue to apply. Non members, as well as members, are eligible for class prizes and may enter the Winter Series. Prizes will be based on current classification.

Pricing

The Winter Series occurs over the regular monthly Registered Sportrap shoots between October through to March inclusive with the final in April. Shooters can choose to just shoot the normal registered shoot and take no part in the Winter Series, in which case it costs £27 birds only or £30 if they wish to enter the cash-prize competition which pays out on that day. Regardless of which way the shooter shoots that registered shoot, they can also opt to have their score included in the Winter Series by paying an additional £3.

This gives four possible combinations of payments:

Non members and members shooting birds only, £27. (No cash prize or trophy).
Competitors shooting birds only and entering Winter Series £30. (No cash prize for individual shoots, but at the end of the series shooters are eligible to win top gun cash prize and members can also win a trophy) .
Competitors shooting competition £30. (Cash prize for that month's registered shoot only).
Competitors shooting competition and Winter Series £33. (Cash prize for that month's shoot, and also the series final payout according to class as specified above, club members are eligible to win the club trophy for the series). The £3 premium will be used towards prizes so the more entries we receive, the better the rewards! There are no member discounts for the series.

Summary

Please read the rules carefully and raise any queries before shooting.

We believe each and every entrant has a real opportunity to get among the prizes.

By entering the competition, that opportunity will be open to you and you will also be helping to support the club and secure its long term future.

Good Shooting!!
